Several Days In California and then back to Philly

Ok.. back to updating the journal... Beck and I spent several days here in Cali (with my guy of course). We hung out in Santa Cruz with some surfers, hit the beach in Aptos, cruised the Boardwalk (though actually a concrete walk..), visited the Redwoods (all the while listening to Becca whine about the winding roads and how she was going to be sick), and hung out at some bars in Capitola for a rather interesting evening that included bar fights (no.. not us!), bad karaokee, and some strange blue drinks.. don't have a clue what was in em...

Then it was off on a plane back to Philly...

We flew Frontier Airline.. a new experience for all of us... and I have to admit it wasn't so bad. The free tv wasn't all that good, but you could watch a movie for $5 and there was a free meal:)

Once in Philly it was non-stop go go go... Thursday Jer and I went up to Coatesville to have dinner with a friend of his, Friday we packed and then headed to UJ's for the little get together (an excellent time), Saturday we checked out Live8 for a couple of hours before returning home for more packing excitement, Sunday evening we attending the most unusual wedding I've ever been to in Brooklyn, and then Monday we hit a family bbq before finishing the packing for Tuesday's adventure.

Tuesday we picked up the truck, packed, and then hit the road for a little town just outside of Atlanta. (arriving at about 3 am!)

Other points of interest --

* The squirrel that fell out of the tree after I was done packing. It made a loud thud and was bleeding through the nose. Twitching and moving about on the ground I figured it was surely done for, but no.. it got up and scampered off moments later... perhaps a rush of adrenaline?

* Hearing (not really seeing through all the crowd) Bon Jovi live:) Singing my little heart out and dancing around:) Fun!

* The fireworks, strob lighting, balloon launching, and unusual food at Alla's wedding.. it was an event to remember for sure:)
